Danish officials have approved the removal and replacement of a damaged offshore turbine near the island of Samso.
Samso Havvind was given the all clear for the work by the Danish Energy Agency with permits to complete operations expiring in one year.
One of 10 Bonus 2.3MW turbines failed in November 2015 with the nacelle and blades crashing into the water due to faults on a top flange weld.
The Samso project, also known as Paludans Flak (pictured), has been in operation since 2003 and was established by local stakeholders.
