Vattenfall is set to install the long-delayed accommodation platform for its 288MW DanTysk and 288MW Sandbank offshore wind farms in the German North Sea.
The jacket foundation will sail out on Wednesday from Emder Werft und Dockbetriebe EWD shipyard in Emden on Boabarge 21.
It will be followed by the topside on a Muller Dordrecht barge by the end of the week.
Seaway Heavy Lifting vessel Stanislav Yudin is being mobilised in Eemshaven, Netherlands, to install both the 1300-tonne jacket and 2500-tonne topside at the construction site some 70km off the island of Sylt.
The 44-metre tall jacket will be installed at water depths of some 25 metre.
The platform will host up to 50 O&M staff members and will be fully operational in early July, Vattenfall expects.
