Ocean services provider DeepOcean has been contracted to provide subsea services to a utility-scale US offshore wind energy project, off the coast of Massachusetts.
DeepOcean’s scope of work includes provision of subsea services including project management, engineering, ROV, tooling and survey activities.
DeepOcean has supported the offshore renewables sector for the past decade. The company’s experience in survey, cable lay, trenching and light construction activities stretches across more than 20 wind farm developments to date.
“This project is another step in DeepOcean’s commitment to the energy transition and sustainable use of ocean resources,” said Tony Stokes (pictured), DeepOcean’s president for the Americas region.
He added: “The US offshore renewables market is gaining momentum with the first large-scale development moving to the installation phase.
“DeepOcean is set up to cost-effectively support our clients in their quest for greener energy. With our extensive fleet of assets, combined with our expert engineering and offshore personnel, we look forward to ensuring a successful campaign off Martha’s Vineyard.”
DeepOcean will lead the project out of its office in Houston, Texas.
