DEME Offshore and Herrenknecht have completed a subsea drill tailor-made for work on the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm in France.
The drill has been commissioned on schedule following successful factory acceptance tests, DEME said.

The two companies signed an agreement in February to fabricate the drill.
A consortium of DEME Offshore and Eiffage Metal was awarded the EPCI contract in 2019 for 80 foundations for the project.
The scope included the design, fabrication, transportation and installation of the steel foundations.
The 480MW Saint-Nazaire project is owned by EDF Renewables and Enbridge and will feature GE Haliade 150-6MW turbines.
It is due online in 2022.
