The Danish Energy Agency has resumed the case processing of four offshore wind farms that had previously been put on hold.
The four projects are the Jammerland Bugt offshore wind farm, Little Belt South offshore wind farm, Omo South offshore wind farm and Nordre Flint offshore wind farm.
On 1 February 2023, the Danish Energy Agency put the case processing of 33 open door projects on hold until further clarification of whether the process was in breach of EU law.
The Ministry of Climate, Energy and Supply, in dialogue with the State Support Secretariat, has now assessed that the feasibility studies issued by the Danish Energy Agency in the period 2014-2019 for the four projects are not in breach of the EU law, along with their possible future establishment permits and electricity production permits.
All four projects received preliminary study permission several years ago, and thus when the market situation was different from today.
The Danish Energy Agency is still in the process of assessing the other projects under the open door scheme, and will complete their assessment as soon as possible.
