Danish officials have survived a legal challenge by developers that failed to qualify for the country’s 350MW nearshore wind tender.
Wind People argued the Danish Energy Agency had wrongly excluded the consortium from prequalification for the ongoing offshore wind round.
A government review board disagreed, pointing out that the developer did not have the required minimum annual turnover of Dkr4bn.
“The DEA is pleased that the matter is now settled and that the DEA can concentrate fully on tendering for the coastal wind farms,” said the agency.
Bids for the nearshore round will be filed by three qualified groups next year. All projects will go live by 2020.
