Doris has acquired Windglaz, a specialist in the analysis and optimisation of fixed offshore wind, floating offshore wind and floating solar systems.
Through this acquisition, Doris’ service offering to the offshore wind industry will expand to include Windglaz’s specialist expertise in areas such as load calculation and aerodynamic modelling.
This will enable the companies to offer combined, integrated solutions to clients for the design, analysis, and installation of offshore wind systems, Doris said.
Pierrick Sauvage, head of offshore design at Doris added: “This acquisition follows the successful collaborations between Doris and Windglaz across pilot and commercial wind farms projects with high-power range turbines in South Korea.
“We are pleased to be presenting high-quality, integrated services to our international clients, combining Doris’ high-quality and competitive design solutions with Windglaz’s recognised skills in turbine modelling and coupled analysis.”
