Dutch consultancy Blix has been awarded the contract to supervise soil investigation activities for the 4GW IJmuiden Ver wind farm zone, in the Dutch North Sea.
Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) has commissioned Blix, which will work with partners Reynolds International, RPS Group and Wind Support, to obtain offshore soil data.
RVO and Blix will develop a “state-of-the-art” dataset relevant for developers’ business cases and will publicise this over a period of two years.
The contract runs until the end of the first quarter of 2022.
After Borssele, Hollandse Kust (zuid), Hollandse Kust (noord) and Hollandse Kust (west), IJmuiden Ver is the fifth consecutive wind farm zone where Blix has been involved in providing support.
The consultancy firm started in Utrecht, The Netherlands in 2009 and now assists clients in Asia, USA and EU in accelerating the energy transition. BLIX helped to realize 19,2 GW of wind energy and 80 MWp solar energy at the end of 2019.
