Eagle Access has tested its access system on the VOS Star vessel at the Horns Rev 2 offshore wind farm off Denmark.
The Dutch company said 150 people were transferred between the ship and turbines, with about 300 transfers made in total including cargo over a three-week period.
People and equipment are transferred on a fully electric driven system via a closed cabin with no stairs to climb, Eagle Access said.
The system was installed on the VOS Star in one day after been transported by road to the quay in IJmuiden.
Eagle Access said the workability of the system proved fully in line with the prediction of its digital models.
These will be further updated with the obtained test data, it said.
The company also uses a digital twin in its offices in IJmuiden, which, it said, can guarantee the operability on a vessel before signing a contract and offer a realistic hands-on training to future operators of the system.
