Ecosse Subsea Systems (ESS) has completed seabed clearance and trenching for Prysmian at Iberdrola’s 350MW Wikinger offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea.
The work took 116 days and involved deployment of ESS’s Scar1 seabed system.
ESS said it cleared thousands of boulders over the 34km of routes for the 45 array cables.
The company also pre-cut trenching over 83km in single and multi-pass modes.
ESS technical director Michael Cowie said: “We are pleased to have successfully completed another seabed clearance and trenching work scope and look forward to supporting Prysmian Group on further offshore wind projects.”
