The Belgian marine company said installation represents the first use of a 60-metre high, in-house designed ‘MODIGA’.
“This innovative equipment encapsulates the drilling and installation operations and shields them from the adverse Atlantic marine conditions, enhancing operational working time,” said DEME.
“The MODIGA is deployed from our jack-up installation vessel Innovation.”
The wind farm is expected to come online next year.
GE 6MW turbines will feature at the project.
