EDPR and Engie have finalised a deal to form a 50-50 joint venture to develop future offshore wind projects.
The European Commission has signed off on the formation of the new partnership, which will commence operations in the first quarter this year, the developers said.

The pair agreed to combine their offshore wind development teams in May last year.
The developers said they will be exploring opportunities for both fixed and floating offshore wind development.
EDPR and Engie already have 1.5GW of projects under construction and a further 3.7GW in planning.
