High voltage engineering outfit EDS has completed cable installation, termination and testing work at the 497MW Hohe See offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The James Fisher and Sons subsidiary completed the work for cable manufacturer Zhongtian Technology Submarine Cable (ZTT).
The wire connects EnBW’s Hohe See to the recently commissioned high voltage direct current (HVDC) offshore grid system BorWin3.
ZTT global business development head Javis Sim said: “The complex TenneT HoHee See project and journey ended on a high note of a job well done for all of the proficient partners, including EDS in delivering the expected.”
EDS project manager Paul Ayre said: “We are proud to have successfully completed our offshore scope of work on this project, bringing the job to completion following our onshore scope last year.”
