EEW Special Pipe Constructions has received an order from Vattenfall to produce 41 monopiles for the 344MW Vesterhav Nord and Syd offshore wind farms off Denmark.
Rostock-based EEW SPC said it will process about 25,500 tonnes of steel for the order between April and August 2022.
The contract was signed on 19 November, EEW SPC said.
EEW SPC chief executive Heiko Mutzelburg said: “We are delighted that, following on from the order for the Kriegers Flak project, we can now also produce the monopiles for the Vesterhav project.
“Even if the Covid numbers are currently rising sharply, we have managed to bring the contract negotiations to a successful conclusion through having online meetings.
“We would like to thank Vattenfall for the trust that they have placed in us and we look forward to working with them in a mutually good cooperation here too.”
The two wind farms are located off the coast of Denmark in the North Sea.
Completion is planned for the end of 2023.
