Engie has agreed a deal to acquire a 23% stake in EDPR’s up to 1.1GW Moray East wind farm off Scotland.
The £21m deal includes an equity shareholding and “outstanding shareholders loans”, EDPR said.
Engie will “participate” in the “investment, development and operation” of the project in the Moray Firth, a statement said.
Moray East is expected to compete in the ongoing CfD 2 process, the results of which will be known later this year.
EDPR already partners with Engie on offshore wind and floating projects off Portugal and France.
