Vejle Municipality has approved Eurowind Energy’s Energipark Oster Starup, marking the first renewable energy project endorsed by the Danish municipality in several years.
The 51.3MW hybrid site will combine 22.5MW of wind with 28.8MW of solar panels across 40 hectares and is scheduled to be operational by 2027.

Jesper Houe, head of Danish development at Eurowind Energy, said: “Vejle Municipality has conducted a thorough approval process, including a long preliminary phase where the local population was involved.”
He added: “It is, of course, particularly gratifying that we can now continue the process.”
The developer said the project had undergone comprehensive preparation to ensure local and environmental considerations were addressed.
