Danish company FairWind has completed electrical and high voltage work on 59 transition pieces for the 752MW Borssele 1&2 offshore wind farm, which will be located off the coast of the Netherlands.
The job covered full electrical installation, including mounting circuit breakers, lights, cabling, filling high voltage switchgear with liquid air and all other electrical components.
FairWind was contracted by compatriot company Bladt Industries to carry out the work on the TPs.
The contract was the largest electrical/high voltage job FairWind had carried out and was the first were FairWind had to prepare the TPs.
The company said it is planning to carry out another job for Bladt on 135 TPs for the 1.4GW Hornsea 2 offshore wind farm.
Work will be carried out at Bladt’s facility in Aalborg.
