UK engineering company Atkins is part of a UK Department for International Trade mission to China and Taiwan to promote offshore wind industry expertise.
Market director for offshore and onshore assets Andy Thompson is the company’s representative on the mission, which also aims to assist in the development of the sector in the two countries.
Thompson said: “China and Taiwan represent huge potential growth markets for offshore wind and we’re keen to share our experiences from the UK and Europe to help develop the market and the industry in Asia.
“It has been great to meet so many different highly competent companies and we’re looking forward to working with them in the future as we branch out into offshore wind in this region.”
