MPI Offshore’s jack-up vessel MPI Enterprise has installed the first Senvion 6.2M-126 turbine at the 332MW Nordsee 1 offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
MPI Enterprise installed the hardware on 4 March having sailed out from the base port in Eemshaven the previous day with two sets of turbines on board.
Buss Logistics has pre-assembled the rotor stars at the Orange Blue Terminal in Eemshaven.
The wind farm will feature a total of 54 turbines at the site approximately 40km north of the island of Juist.
The Innogy and Northland Power-developed wind farm is due to go live in late September or early October.
