Vestas and its local manufacturing partner Tien Li Offshore Wind Technology have produced the first turbine blade at the latter’s factory in Taiwan.
The component, for a V174-9.5MW turbine, is a milestone for the Danish company’s localisation plans on the island, it said.

Manufacturing of the blade is the result of “close collaboration” with local suppliers and investment in local capabilities, Vestas added.
The blade will be installed later this year at Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners’ Changfang/Xidao complex.
