ERM Dolphyn has confirmed it will partner with Principle Power to advance the front-end engineering design for its 10MW wind-to-hydrogen demonstrator on the eve of the sold out Floating Offshore Wind 2022 conference in Aberdeen.
The Deepwater Offshore Local Production of HYdrogeN pilot scheme is planned off the coast of the Granite City, where RenewableUK will welcome delegates this week eager to hear the latest updates from the rapidly growing floating wind industry.
More on this announcement can be read in today’s Floating Offshore Wind 2022 special reNEWS show daily.
The first daily also includes a message from RenewableUK chief executive Dan McGrail, who has called on government to recognise the “high value” manufacturing potential that floating wind could unlock for the UK.
The edition also features updates on projects vying for an Innovation and Targeted Oil & Gas (INTOG) seabed lease and the latest supply chain plans for the 100MW Pentland floating wind farm.
There is also an exclusive interview with Shell’s director for offshore power Denise Neill, on why the energy veteran is betting big on the budding technology.
