French float offshore partnership

Nass&Wind Industrie and Offshore Foundation Solutions (OFS) have signed a cooperation agreement to help develop floating wind turbines with a floating concrete platform.

This agreement is part of a strategy to provide engineering services to projects owners and technology developers looking to design concrete structure for floating wind platforms.

It aims to cover all projects phases – from launching to energization – and all floating wind turbine subsystems – from anchors to wind turbine integration, the companies said.

The partnership is particularly interested in the ongoing tender for floating wind projects launched by the French government in August 2015.
