French shipowner Jifmar Offshore Services has acquired Scottish company Delta Marine, adding two DP vessels to the former’s fleet.
The acquisition means Jifmar now owns four DP2 multicats and eight DP1 vessels.
Jifmar Offshore Services chairman Jean-Michel Berud said: “With VOE Earl being the most powerful DP multicat currently on the market and the specific design of VOE Vanguard, we will be in a position to expand the range of services offered to our clients.”
Overall, Jifmar now operates a fleet of almost 40 vessels worldwide with nine under the Scottish flag, it said.
Delta Marine chief executive Dave McNaughtan said: “With Jifmar’s well known engineering capabilities, we will now be in a position to offer a broader range of services to our clients.”
