UK company Inyanga Maritime and French outfit Ship As A Service (SAAS) are to collaborate to offer services for the marine renewable energy and offshore wind markets.
The two companies said they are pooling complementary skills and naval means to provide turnkey solutions to the sector.
Inyanga Maritime, which opened a subsidy in France in early 2021, has expertise and experience in offshore operations for marine renewable energy, having completed the installation of tidal turbines in Europe over the past 15 years.
The company recently acquired the 58-metre-long multi-purpose vessel Inyanga Entsha (pictured), which is equipped with a DP2 dynamic positioning system.
The vessel will also be fitted with a 75-tonne heave-compensated A-frame and a 15-tonne deck/subsea crane.
SAAS is providing turnkey marine and subsea services with several work and survey vessels, observation class ROVs, drones, instruments and marine operations expertise.
Overt the last few years, SAAS has become a player in the growing marine energy market in France, with operations carried out for tidal, wave and wind energy.
It has capacity to operate in France and in the Mediterranean Sea following the acquisition of COMEX’s marine operations branch.
Inyanga managing director Richard Parkinson said: “We look forward to our collaboration with SAAS.
“Our skill sets are complimentary allowing us to utilise our joint resources to undertake a wider range of projects with a focus in offshore wind and tidal energy sector.”
SAAS chief executive Herve Allaire said: “SAAS and Inyanga Maritime are both result-driven companies, with strong focus on innovation and blue growth.
“SAAS operates vessels dedicated to sea survey, marine energies and sea trials.
“Inyanga’s impressive track record proved its ability to find a solution to every new challenge.
“It was thus obvious to join our forces to offer our clients turnkey innovative and efficient solutions.”
