UK wind farm support contractor HBC Group has won a deal from Fugro to work on the installation of array cables at the 400MW Rampion offshore wind farm in southern England.
The company will provide the rigging teams and cable installation equipment during the installation of links at both the turbines and the offshore substation, it said.
Fugro will lay and bury 122 array cables with its vessels Fugro Symphony and Fugro Saltire.
The Rampion project is being built by Eon, the Green Investment Bank and Canadian Energy Company Enbridge.
MPI jack-up Discovery will recommence foundation installation at the project site in July after construction stopped in April to allow for the black bream spawning season.
A total of 18 Sif-made monopiles have already been installed.
It will be joined by Swire Blue Ocean later in the year to tackle installation of 116 MHI Vestas V112-3.45MW turbines.
