German company 8.2 Consulting has received a three-year extension to its turbine inspection contract for the 288MW Meerwind Sud/Ost offshore wind farm from operator WindMW.
The consultancy said it completed the first set of inspections last year.
It has been involved with Meerwind since 2010 – from initial design review of the turbines, through quality assurance during assembly up to inspection after commissioning.
WindMW general manager Stefan Klett said: “In 8.2 Consulting we have found a reliable partner for our project.
“We value their outstanding expertise and have built a constructive business-cooperation during the course of the project.”
