GEV Wind Power has established a new entity in Taiwan as part of its strategic expansion across the Asia-Pacific region.
The company said the Taichung-based division strengthens its position as a global provider of wind turbine maintenance services and reflects more than a decade of regional support for the energy transition.
GEV added that the new office represents a significant investment aimed at meeting rising demand for localised expertise in the wind sector.
David Fletcher, GEV Group chief executive, said: “Our expansion into Taiwan reflects our commitment to supporting the energy transition across the Asia-Pacific region.”
He added that the development enhances the company’s ability to mobilise resources “swiftly and effectively” while maintaining its standards in technical capability, safety culture and operational reliability.
GEV noted that Taiwan’s offshore wind capacity is expected to reach around 15GW by 2035, positioning the market as a cornerstone of the region’s renewable rollout.
The company said the addition of Taiwan operations extends its global service network, which already spans the UK, Europe, Australia, North America and Asia-Pacific.
Under the leadership of head of Taiwan operations Emma Mason, the division will deliver the technical and safety performance expected by GEV clients.
