Fred Olsen company Global Wind Service UK is supporting the installation of turbines at Eon’s 400MW Rampion wind farm off the south UK coast.
The company said a team of technicians is providing mechanical and electrical “completion” of the MHI Vestas V112-3.45MW turbines that are currently being installed at the project.
Chief commercial officer Michael Høj Olsen said the company is “pleased” to further develop its “partnership” with the turbine manufacturer.
“Being awarded the Rampion project contributes to an accelerated learning curve on this project as we have been able to utilise our technicians, competencies and insight from Nobelwind,” he said.
The wind farm is due to be operational next year.
