All 111 turbines of the 900MW Greater Changhua 1 and 2a offshore wind farms have reached first power and been connected to the Taiwanese national grid.
“What a journey we have made and landmark achievement in terms of the unparalleled installed capacity we delivered for Taiwan,” said head of communications Rachel Chan.

“The Orsted team and our contractors are moving full steam ahead with the final testing of the wind turbines.”
Installation of the final turbine at the projects was completed at the end of February.
The 605MW Greater Changhua 1 is 50% owned by Orsted with Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and Cathay PE holding the other half between them.
