Hellenic Cables has signed a contract to supply inter array cables for the Baltyk 2 and Baltyk 3 offshore wind farms off Poland.
Hellenic Cables was appointed by Seaway 7 as the key subcontractor for the design, manufacturing, testing and supply of up to 205km of 66kV submarine inter array cables and related accessories for these projects.
The joint venture of Equinor and Polenergia is developing the Bałtyk 2&3 offshore wind projects, which encompass 122-square kilometre and 117-square kilometre areas, respectively, in water depths ranging from 20 metres to 45 metres.
Hellenic Cables will manufacture the submarine cables at its factory in Corinth, Greece.
All wires will be delivered within the first half of 2026.
Cenergy Holdings chief executive Alexis Alexiou said: “We are very honoured for this new contract award by Seaway 7, where we will deliver the inter array cable systems for Bałtyk 2&3 offshore wind projects.
“We are enthusiastic and look forward to delivering the project safely and supporting the energy transition in the Baltic region.”
Seaway 7 Project Manager Tom Rijnders added: “We are delighted to be working with Hellenic Cables once again, following our successful collaboration on previous offshore wind projects.
“This contract award reflects our confidence in Hellenic Cables expertise and capabilities, and we look forward to advancing this project together.”
