UK-based Hutchinson Engineering is to supply Statoil’s 402MW Dudgeon offshore wind farm with 67 sets of internal and external access ladders, cable ladders, rescue support frames and platforms.
The company said the work, which is valued at more than £500,000, follows a successful audit by Smulders and the Sif Group – with Statoil approval.
Hutchinson said regular weekly loaded sets will now leave its Widnes facility for direct delivery to either Arendonk or Hoboken yards in Belgium.
It will also use subcontractors, including Pillar Wedge, for the contact.
Hutchinson has recruited additional staff and operatives to deliver the project and with new quayside facilities now available it is hopeful of further work from Smulders.
