Polish company Enea Group and Spanish utility Iberdrola have broken off talks to jointly develop up to 3300MW of offshore wind capacity in the Baltic Sea off Poland.
Enea said in a statement to the Warsaw Stock Exchange that the two parties had “made a decision to terminate their exclusive talks on the potential investment in the projects in question without preparing the term sheet”.
In early June, the two companies had announced a letter of intent to cooperate on the joint development of up 3.3GW of offshore wind.
Enea said that the letter of intent was no longer valid, but the two companies “remain open to the possibility of future cooperation”.
It added: “Enea actively continues to explore the possibilities of developing offshore wind farms.”
