Innogy is investigating after five people aboard a foundation installation vessel were injured at its 860MW Triton Knoll wind farm off east England.
One person remains in hospital following the accident involving the Seaway 7 ship Seaway Strashnov on 8 May, the German developer said.
“At the time, all five were airlifted to hospital for assessment and treatment. Three were discharged the next day and a fourth a few days later, while one person remains recovering in hospital,” an Innogy spokesman said.
The vessel returned to the port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands where it remains.
“Our priority remains the safety and wellbeing of all those involved, and to support the investigation team and the implementation of their findings,” added the spokesman.
No details on the nature of the accident have been released.
Seaway 7 said it mobilised an emergency response team to deal with the incident.
“We are working with the relevant authorities and all other involved parties to enable a comprehensive investigation into the cause of the incident. We would like to thank the emergency services for their support throughout the incident,” said a company statement.
“Our priority is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all individuals involved.”
