Installation has restarted at the 640MW Yunlin project off the coast of Taiwan.
The 2024 installation campaign kicked off this week, with the season’s first monopile installed just a few days ago.
The foundations work will continue over the coming months said Skyborn Renewables, with the developer stating the project is a top priority for the company and its partners, delivering electricity under two 20-year power purchase agreements.
Once completed, this 640MW scheme will power over 600,000 Taiwanese households. Located in the Taiwan Strait, Yunlin is already a vital contributor, having fed over 1.1TWh of renewable energy into the grid, said Skyborn.
The developer added the dedicated project team and contractors are working at full pace to meet the scheduled targets and complete all installations of monopile foundations, inner array grid and wind turbine generators during the course of 2024.
