JDR Cable Systems has completed termination and testing of the export and array wires at the 25MW WindFloat Atlantic floating offshore wind farm off the coast of Portugal.
“Our technicians sailed back to shore for the last time and are on their way home tonight,” the company said.

WindFloat Atlantic features three MHI Vestas 8.4MW turbines installed on floating structures designed by Principle Power.
The floating platforms are anchored with chains to the seabed at a depth of 100 metres.
The project has been developed by the Windplus consortium, which comprises EDP Renewables (54.4%), Engie (25%), Repsol (19.4%) and Principle Power (1.2%).
