Singapore-based offshore specialist Ezion Holdings has set up a joint venture with an unnamed Chinese state-owned company for the deployment of service rigs to support the offshore wind market in China.
Ezion said the Chinese company is a large-scale entity involved in integrated logistics, shipping and shipbuilding.
The Chinese company operates under the direct administration of the state-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.
It will be responsible for the integration of domestic requirements for operating service rigs in the offshore wind market.
Ezion will be responsible for technical, operational management and commercial aspects of the service rigs that will be chartered.
