Wind energy consultancy K2 Management has appointed Axel Juhnke as managing director for its German business.
Juhnke (pictured) is joining from offshore wind advisers WindManShip, where he was general manager.
Prior to this role, the engineer led DNV GL´s offshore project certification department.
He is replacing Peter Steinfeld and Kurt Stürken. Steinfeld will take a new role as chief specialist for offshore Projects while Stürken has resigned.
“With Axel Juhnke on the team, we can support our clients with even more stronger and bankable business cases and reduce risks in their wind projects”, K2 Management chief executive Henrik Stamer said.
K2 said it has also scored a number of contracts in Brazil, including the provision of an independent power production estimate for an unnamed 220MW wind farm for Omega Energia.
It also supported the Partners Group and InfraRed Capital Partners ahead of financial close for the 396MW Merkur offshore wind farm confirmed earlier this month.
