Six would-be developers are due to file final binding bids today for the rights to build the 600MW Kriegers Flak offshore wind farm in Denmark.
The Danish Energy Agency is running the tender with the sole criteria being price. Bids are expected to be less than 80 ore per kilowatt-hour.
Those in the running include Dong, Vattenfall and Eon Denmark with partner Statoil.
Danish company European Energy is working with Canadian company Boralex on its bid. Baltic development veteran EnBW as well as Iberdrola are also in the running.
Vattenfall won the rights to build the 400MW Horns Rev 3 in the North Sea with a bid of 77 ore/kWh.
