Inch Cape has taken delivery of two new-build crew transfer vessels from UK marine contractor Mainprize Offshore.
The developer said the vessels, MO12 and MO14, will operate from the Port of Montrose under a five-year charter supporting construction and operations at the offshore wind project.
Mainprize added that the 26-metre vessels can each carry up to 24 passengers and will be operated by locally based crews comprising a master, engineer and deckhand.
The crew transfer vessels were designed by Walker Marine Design and built by Strategic Marine Group in Singapore.
The vessels have a bollard push of 21 tonnes enabling personnel transfers in wave heights of up to two metres, increasing project availability by around 26 days each year.
The vessels also feature multi-fuel capability and an optimised catamaran hull design intended to improve operational performance and reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
