MHI Vestas Offshore Wind has opened its new power converter modules manufacturing plant at the Port of Esbjerg in Denmark.
The company said the facility has been built to ramp up production capacity to meet “strong demand” for its V164 turbine platform.
The factory is located close to pre-assembly sites at the port, MHI Vestas said.
MHI Vestas chief manufacturing officer Robert Borin said: “It’s exciting to see the new facility up and running at the Port of Esbjerg as the next manufacturing phase of the company takes shape.”
