MingYang Smart Energy has secured an order to supply turbines for a 500MW offshore wind project off the coast of China.
China Huadian Corporation placed the order for its Yangjiang Qingzhou 3 project, off Yangjiang city.

MingYang will supply 37 MySE6.8-158 turbines and 30 MySE8.3-180 turbines for the project.
The company will also provide a 220kV offshore substation.
The offshore wind project is the largest in China Huadian’s pipeline, MingYang said.
Yangjiang Qingzhou 3 will supply enough electricity to power the equivalent of more than 665,000 households a year and save 436,000 tonnes of coal.
