The Port of Montrose is to host a supply chain meeting on 27 February that will provide the latest information on the 1075MW Seagreen offshore wind farm off Scotland.
The ‘Meet your neighbour breakfast’ will hear more about the port’s plans to service the offshore wind sector, as well commercial contracts that will be sought for the Seagreen wind farm by developer SSE.
It is aimed at port-based businesses and established suppliers with experience of supplying to the offshore wind.
The purpose of the event is to further engage Angus businesses with offshore wind projects as well as providing a networking opportunity with like-minded businesses.
Registration at the Montrose Port Authority will be at 8am, with the event starting at 8.30am and running for one hour, followed by networking.
Montrose has been selected as the operations and maintenance base for Seagreen.
MHI Vestas is the preferred turbine supplier for the project.
The wind farm is expected online in 2024.
