The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy will announce which developer has secured the right to develop the 700MW Hollandse Kust North project on Wednesday.
The rights were put up for grabs in an auction held by Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) in April this year.

RVO said the ministry will reveal the winner after 4.40PM GMT, following the closure of the Dutch stock exchange.
Orsted and a consortium of Shell and Eneco called CrossWind are known to be among the bidders for the site, which lies 18.5km off the Dutch coast.
Both developers are hoping to use some of the electricity generated by the project to produce green hydrogen if they are successful in their bid for the site.
