French energy giant EDF has appointed Matthias Haag as project director of its recently-acquired 450MW Neart na Gaoithe offshore wind farm off Scotland.
Haag (pictured) has previously worked for Shell Wind Energy and on the Gemini offshore project off the Netherlands.
Neart was bought by EDF from Irish developer Mainstream Renewable Power earlier this year.
The Contracts for Difference-backed wind farm in the Firth of Forth is slated to come online in 2023.
