GE Renewable Energy has named John Lavelle as chief executive of its offshore wind business.
He replaces Anders Soe-Jensen, who will stay with GE as the offshore wind commercial business development leader.
Lavelle has been with GE for 33 years in which time he has led businesses including Digital Energy and Gasification and GE Energy – Global Project Operations.
He will lead the global business strategy with a mission to make GE “one of the top three players in the offshore wind industry globally”, said GE.
