Nexans has been chosen by ScottishPower Renewables to supply 66kV accessories for the East Anglia THREE offshore wind farm.
The project sits about 69 kilometres off the Suffolk coast with an onshore cable route to a converter station in Bramford, the company said.
Nexans was selected for its technical response, engineering expertise and integrated approach, according to the supplier.
Elyette Roux, executive vice president pwr-grid & accessories at Nexans, said: “The East Anglia project represents a critical step forward for the UK’s offshore wind ambitions.”
Pedro Fernandez, EA3 project director at ScottishPower Renewables, added: “EA3 will be a vital part of the UK’s climate ambitions, providing clean, green electricity to over 1.3 million homes.”
Nexans’ 66kV components will support electrical performance across East Anglia THREE.
