Danish consultancy NIRAS has opened a new office in Taiwan to support the country’s growing “multi-billion” dollar offshore wind industry.
The company said the Taipei office will support it owner’s engineer work and will help overseas developers who are planning to work in the country.
NIRAS believes the country is among the “world’s most promising” locations for offshore wind and is eyeing a US$4m turnover there before 2025.
It initially started working in the country five years ago.
“We have a strong network in Taiwan and great potential for developing the market through our new office,” said NIRAS offshore wind head Tore Lucht.
