RWE and Northland Power are seeking a reactive power supply for the 332MW Nordsee 1 offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The developers are looking to buy electricity for the wind farm’s own consumption in case a lack of wind means the project cannot provide the power itself.
A three-year contract is on offer, but it does not include a volume guarantee. Invoicing will based on 15-minute increments at the current market price, the developers said.
“Existing fiscal metering can be used but the process has to be agreed with the bidder,” the developers said.
Interested parties have until 20 July to submit offers to RWE and Northland Power.
