NorSea has set up an offshore wind company in Denmark to service the growing industry.
The new unit, NSG Wind, can deliver the full range of services that the market needs, the Norwegian company said.
NSG will ensure that NorSea can service offshore wind customers such as operators, manufacturers and sub-suppliers.
The unit based in Esbjerg has already won orders in countries such as Denmark, Germany, Taiwan and the UK.
“European offshore wind markets continue to grow and the markets in Asia and North America are mushrooming,” NorSea chief executive John Stangeland said.
There is therefore a growing need for the palette of services the NorSea Group has built over the past 50 years, including seabed investigation, transport cable inspection, onshore and offshore logistics, installation, service and maintenance – as well as specially designed vessels and other offshore equipment.”
“Given the market situation, staking on offshore wind is an obvious step for us to take,” he said.
