EDPR has inaugurated the operations and maintenance centre at Fraserburgh Port, Scotland, for the 950MW Moray East offshore wind farm.
The base will now manage Moray East, which went into operation in June, creating about 100 jobs locally.

In particular, it will control the vessel Alba, which regularly spends two-week periods at sea with a crew to carry out maintenance works on the project’s infrastructure.
Moray East is owned by EDPR and Engie joint venture Ocean Winds.
The opening ceremony was attended by Scottish Cabinet Secretary for Energy Michael Matheson (pictured, right) and the chief executive of EDP Miguel Stilwell d’Andrade (pictured, left) .
